Author Services Agreement

This Author Services Agreement is between you ("Author") and Smart Press Media LLC ("SPM"), operator of AuthorOS™. It governs the publishing services and platform access in your selected package (Exhibit A).

SPM provides editorial, formatting, cover design, distribution, audiobook, VOLTA adaptation, marketing, website, and platform services per your package tier. Specific deliverables are listed in Exhibit A.

Deliverables and quantities are defined by your package and itemized in Exhibit A. Revisions beyond the included rounds are available as add-on services (Exhibit B).

Package fees are due before production begins. Payments are processed by Stripe and appear on your statement as Smart Press Media LLC.

Packages may be paid in full, in three equal monthly installments, or financed over 6 or 12 months through a third-party partner (subject to approval). The 3-month plan is interest-free.

Your package includes a free AuthorOS subscription period. Afterward it continues at your tier's monthly rate. Cancel anytime with 30 days notice; accrued loyalty credit applies to future packages while active.

You retain 100% of the rights to your work and 100% of your royalties. SPM claims no ownership of your manuscript, book, or derived works.

You grant SPM a limited, revocable license to edit, format, narrate, adapt, distribute, and market your work solely to deliver the services in this agreement.

You represent that you hold the rights to the material submitted, and agree to provide required assets and respond at each review gate within 5 business days.

Production advances through three approval gates. Stated timelines assume prompt approvals; delays in your response extend the timeline accordingly.

Production combines automated systems with human review at the gates. Any platform-required disclosure is handled internally and never appears on your public book listing.

For VOLTA screen adaptations, you earn 70% of net VOLTA revenue. Reporting is provided in your portal and weekly briefing.

Your manuscript and data are confidential and handled per the Privacy Policy. You may export your data and request deletion at any time.

Services are provided on a commercially reasonable basis. SPM does not guarantee specific sales, rankings, or revenue outcomes.

To the extent permitted by law, SPM's aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid for the services in the prior twelve months.

This agreement remains in effect through delivery and any active subscription. Either party may terminate per the stated notice; on termination, data is retained 30 days for export.
